Here are six different costume designs I was playing around with for the character. You'll notice that one of them is labeled "original" on the first sheet. The Thief actually comes from a character that I designed back in high school. |

This is the final design of the Thief along with a broadcast made for comic book production. After playing with the above costume designs I decided to combine several elements into one. |
These color concepts were colored traditionally using marker and a micron for inking. My first color concept didn't go over well since the colors were more cool and portrayed him as a goody goody and he's supposed to be more of an anti-hero. |

Here are some expressions and a digitally colored action pose. I tried to use the hat to convey as much expression as possible so I wouldn't need to use the goggles but I ended up using the goggles anyway. |
I figured that since he is a thief and thiefs tend to have all kinds of cool gadgets that I'd show some of those off. The series of images on the left is a storyboard illustrating how his chain sword works like a grappling hook. On the right are his different bombs. |
